    Thought for the Week:

    I am no longer my own, but thine. Put me to what thy wilt, rank me with whom thy wilt. Put me to doing, put me to suffering. Let me be employed by thee or laid aside for thee. Let me be full, let me be empty. Let me have all things, let me have nothing. I freely and heartily yield all things to thy pleasure and disposal. And now, O glorious and blessed God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, thou art mine, and I am thine. So be it. And the covenant which I have made on earth, let it be ratified in heaven. Amen.

    This week’s Scripture: 1 Peter 2:1-10

    Call to Worship:

    Come to Christ, that living stone, rejected by the world, but in God’s sight chosen and precious.

    We have responded to Christ’s call, and seek to be built into a spiritual house, a living reminder of God’s presence on earth.

    Once we were no people, but now we are God’s people, called out of darkness into God’s marvelous light. Therefore we sing with the Church in all ages:

    Blessed be your name, O God, our Redeemer. By your mercy we have been born anew to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.

    Song: “We Are The Church” P. 558

    Refrain:
    I am the church! You are the church!
    We are the church together!
    All who follow Jesus,
    all around the world!
    Yes, we’re the church together!

    1. The church is not a building;
    the church is not a steeple;
    the church is not a resting place;
    the church is a people.

    (Refrain)

    2. We’re many kinds of people,
    with many kinds of faces,
    all colours and all ages, too
    from all times and places.

    (Refrain)

    3. Sometimes the church is marching;
    sometimes it’s bravely burning,
    sometimes it’s riding, sometimes hiding;
    always it’s learning.

    (Refrain)

    4. And when the people gather,
    there’s singing and there’s praying;
    there’s laughing and there’s crying sometimes,
    all of it saying:

    (Refrain)

    5. At Pentecost some people
    received the Holy Spirit
    and told the Good News through the world
    to all who would hear it.

    (Refrain)

    Please continue to stay safe and healthy. We will gather together again soon for a celebration.

    Blessings,

    Calvin
