We no longer have to submit a health form, but if you want to you can with the information below. Just arrive and agree that you agree with what is listed on the form. There is a poster posted at the door that list what you are agreeing.

We have an easier way to submit your health form. This will also send you a reminder every week if you choose the option. Go to https://evc.vaumc.org

Click on COVID Acknowledgment Form, then York River, then Singleton UMC, then type in name and if you want to be reminded each week, then I agree and send it. It will be sent to me in my email.

We are offering three ways for you to worship with us.

    1. We will post a worship service on the website each week for those who cannot attend in-person worship. The website is www.singletonumc.org.

    1. We have in-person worship each Sunday at 11:00. We will have some requirement each person must follow to attend the service. Each person must register, fill out a health form, wear a mask at all times and practice social distancing. To register and ask questions, please call, text (540)784-5921or email me(calvin.griffin@cox.net).

    2. As we return to in-person worship, if you are not ready to attend in-person, you can join us by zoom at 11:00 each Sunday. We will send out the information each week.

We will begin Monday morning Bible Study on August 10 at 9:30.

We will continue to evaluate our Wednesday night study and possibly begin in September.

    Thought for the Week:

We confess to you, all-knowing God, what we are. We are not people we like others to think we are. We are afraid to admit, even to ourselves, what lies in the depths of our souls. We cannot hide our true selves from you. You know us as we are, and yet you love us. Help us not to shrink from self knowledge. Teach us to respect ourselves for your sake. Give us the courage to put our trust in your guiding power. Raise us out of the paralysis of guilt into the freedom and energy of forgiven people. And for those who through long habit find forgiveness hard to accept, we ask you to break their bondage and set them free; through Jesus Christ our Redeemer. Amen.

    This week’s Scripture: Genesis 28:10-19

    Call to Worship:

This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.

This is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven.

The hour is coming, and now is, when true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for such the Father seeks to worship him.

Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him, bless his name!

(The Book of Worship 1965, Alt.)

Song: “Surely the Presence of the LordP. 328

Surely the presence of the Lord is in this place.
I can feel His mighty power and His grace.
I can hear the brush of angel’s wings,
I see glory on each face.
Surely the presence of the Lord is in this place.

Please continue to stay safe and healthy. We will gather together again soon for a celebration.
