    Thought for the Week:

We confess to you, all-knowing God, what we are. We are not people we like others to think we are. We are afraid to admit, even to ourselves, what lies in the depths of our souls. We cannot hide our true selves from you. You know us as we are, and yet you love us. Help us not to shrink from self knowledge. Teach us to respect ourselves for your sake. Give us the courage to put our trust in your guiding power. Raise us out of the paralysis of guilt into the freedom and energy of forgiven people. And for those who through long habit find forgiveness hard to accept, we ask you to break their bondage and set them free; through Jesus Christ our Redeemer. Amen.

    This week’s Scripture: Genesis 28:10-19

    Call to Worship:

This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.

This is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven.

The hour is coming, and now is, when true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for such the Father seeks to worship him.

Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him, bless his name!

(The Book of Worship 1965, Alt.)

Song: “Surely the Presence of the LordP. 328

Surely the presence of the Lord is in this place.
I can feel His mighty power and His grace.
I can hear the brush of angel’s wings,
I see glory on each face.
Surely the presence of the Lord is in this place.

    2x

Please continue to stay safe and healthy. We will gather together again soon for a celebration.

    Blessings,

    Calvin
