    Announcements:

Because of the continued health concerns, as you can imagine our Advent and Christmas at Singleton will be different this year. Advent begins Sunday, November 29th. Please let Calvin know if you would like to volunteer one Sunday to light the Advent candles and offer the weekly prayer symbolizing hope, peace, joy and love.

Once again we will be having our beautiful Poinsettia Tree. This year we invite you to begin bringing in your poinsettia plant on Sunday, December 6th. As the month progresses we will create the poinsettia tree. Email calvin.griffin@cox.net if in honor/memory of/ We will create a weekly list. The Poinsettia tree will take the place of our Chrismon tree this year. This is why we are asking for the poinsettias earlier than normal.

Many thanks to Gail Claydon who has decorated the church entrances with lovely wreaths throughout the seasons – to Karen Soles, Martha Soles, Kim and Jimmy Williams, the “angel men” and the caring others who have helped and will be helping to provide Singleton with loving beauty.

Since we are unable to have the angel tree with individual names this year, the women of the church ask you to search your hearts to assist a local family with their Christmas and special needs. The mother passed away from cancer leaving her husband and three boys (12 and under). If your personal budget allows and you are able to contribute, please consider making a monetary donation or providing a gift card to Walmart. Your check can be made payable to the church with Christmas Family written on the memo line or send your gift card to the church with a note designating Christmas Family.

As we share the spirit of Christmas may God shower you with many blessings, The Worship Committee
