Passion Play – “The Last Supper”
This past Easter on Good Friday we presented a program entitled “The Last Supper”. UMM members dressed in costume portrayed Jesus, the twelve disciples and Roman soldiers for the last supper, the bearing of the cross and the crucifixion, followed by communion. During past years, the UMM assisted families with renovations and repairs to their homes. Some 240 hours were donated and $1200 in materials and supplies. The UMW split the cost of materials. Also the UMM were instrumental in upgrading the parsonage over the past years. Many of our group contributed with labor and tools to accomplish this major tasking to refinish hardwood floors, painting and upgrading the kitchen and laundry area..
During 2009, the UMM completed the Picnic Pavilion on the 4 acres of land just behind the church. In 2011, we installed electricity for lights and fans. In the Spring of 2012, we purchased new equipment and moved the playground area next to the picnic pavilion.
From The President: “I encourage all men in the church to attend these meetings, and if you are not a member, please consider joining. We have a lot of fun working together on church and community projects.” ….Doug Purcell
